Converse 'Vintage' One Star

4/13/2017 1:31 PM

At times one can wonder how you can make a wardrobe staple such as the Chuck Taylor and One Star even better? Well take it back to its roots, and Converse have done just that! Taking the finite vintage detailing of their 1970’s ranges and thrown it straight into the One Star.

Tentatively named the Vintage One Star, each pair features all of the features we’ve come to know and love from the 1970’s premium leather and heavy-duty canvas lining, with extra support within the inner-sole. All of this on the inside before moving to the supple rough ‘Bordeaux’ and ‘Khaki’ suedes and 1970’s sole unit with extra foxing and vintage name badge to finish it all off.

Both the Bordeaux and Khaki One Star Vintage are now available at our Lower Grounds Store located in the basement of our 15 McKillop Street location. For those of you who can’t make it in store, all of the finer details continue reading after the jump and hit our online store to purchase a pair

Converse 1970's Chuck Taylor

2/17/2017 12:47 PM

A wardrobe staple resurrected with Converse’s Chuck Taylor 1970. Just as they were made and crafted for the court all those years ago, each Chuck Taylor comes to us both a Hi and Lo variation. The heavy-duty premium canvas uppers feature both Black and Parchment finishes and there’s more to each pair, than just your average chucks. The heavier grade canvas sits aside a reinforced sidewall stitch, before setting itself into a higher foxing and meeting the vulcanised rubber sole. For extra comfort a cushioned footbed lies within each pair before finishing them off with a players’ name badge as a throwback to their history on the court.

An easy choice to pair off with any of your current wardrobe pieces from selvedge denim to fatigues and everything in between, Chuck is guaranteed to never go out of fashion. All four of Black, Parchment, Hi, and Lo variations of the the 1970’s Chuck Taylor are now available both in store and online. Continue reading after the jump for all of the finer details…
