Air Max 1 PRM - Baltic Blue/Sesame-Gridiron-Sail

As March 26th approaches, we edge closer to the finale to all of the Air Max Day lead-up excitement. But before that, we have just one more special edition Air Max 1 which was created in anticipation of the big event.

Made with uppers constructed exclusively of corduroy, this "Baltic Blue" release is not short on texture. The striped ridges of corduroy aren't the first thing you'd think of when designing a sneaker, but they seem to work particularly well on the simple upper design of the Air Max 1. Most closely associated with Patta on this silhouette, the use of cord on Nike sneakers was most famously employed by winner of the "Vote Forward" competition Sean Wotherspoon. His Air Max 97/1 hybrid released on Air Max Day in 2018 to a wave of hype that cemented the cord Air Max lore.

Now, you've got a chance to secure yourself what some might argue is a better looking shoe than the Wotherspoon Air Max, staying true to the original lines which have made Air Max 1 an icon which has lasted over 37 years.
