Womens Air Max 1 - Photon Dust/Tour Yellow/Wolf Grey
For anyone familiar with the Air Max 1, you'll recognise this is the same blocking mapped out by Nike superstar designer Tinker Hatfield back in 1987 for the original release.
The base is matched to the OG, with a mesh toebox complimented with smooth nylon for the tongue and collar. The overlays do away with traditional synthetic suede for premium tumbled leather.
The most obvious change is the 'Tour Yellow' in place of the traditional red or blue. The accent colour extends to the Air Max bubble which is something the OG hadn't managed – Nike's team was likely too focussed on inventing the tech, rather than working this out in '87. The rubber outsole also receives a change, with black being subbed out for speckled grey not unlike the AJ4's 'cement' pattern.
