Details:Hancock is a British label that produces rubberised outerwear in Scotland. Inspired by the English inventor Thomas Hancock, who patented vulcanisation in 1843, all Hancocks ' Vulcanised Articles' are handmade at our factory in Cumbernauld.
Each Article is first cut then sewn by their team of machinists before it is passed to one of the experienced coat-makers. Interior seams and pockets are glued and taped by hand; a process called 'smearing' before being rolled flat using a hardened steel hand roller then finished with a rubber cleaning wheel tool.
Atricle 1 is a Single-breasted raincoat with detachable quilted hood; front pocket welts; unbounded will buggy lining and Hancock elasticated hang loop. Hancock Vulcanised Articles are handmade using two-layers of cloths with a layer of rubber solution spread in-between that is specially bonded to create a waterproof barrier that is handmade in Scotland. Outer shell 100% nylon bonded with siphonia elastica for a rubberproofed finish.Long Trenchcoat fit.
