adidas Originals have delivered their latest sportswear inspired casual wear. This time bringing us a re-stock and re-engineered version of the beloved Stan Smith.

Created in 1971 for tennis star and name sake Stan Smith, this clean-cut and timeless silhouette holds a special place in style history. A smooth full grain leather upper with perforated 3-Stripes and tonal rubber outsole have made this low top into a celebrated sneaker icon. The Stan Smith Vintage was first released in 1973 as the first full leather performance court shoe and has gone on to become an off-court icon. Featuring a dimpled outsole for optimal grip and a reinforced heel for achilles support, the Vintage edition is backed up with a subtle nod to the original with a Goldfoil callout on the anterior alongside the trademark perforated stripes and the original colourway of all-white with a Fairway Green heel tab. With Stan himself smiling out from the tongue, the Stan Smith is worn around the globe by everyone from the most ardent of sneaker connoisseurs to the recreational tennis player.

For Spring 2017 adidas have introduced a new take on a classic with the Stan Smith, Leather Sock. Featuring a seamless, premium leather, one-piece upper. The tongue and heel are constructed from the same piece as the rest of the upper, resulting in an interesting look and above all else…comfort. The tongue itself has been laser-attached to the rest of the shoe, to evade any potential coziness-killers such as seams and stitching. In terms of design, the shoe is a elegant and stylish as you would expect, with fine laser etched details at the tongue and heel providing a more luxurious look and feel.

Both the Stan Smith and Stan Smith, Leather Sock are available now at our 1/15 Mckillop Street location and online.
