Converse have partnered up with iconic Japanese designer Hiroshi Fujiwara and his Fragment designs moniker to give us his take on the 1970’s Chuck Taylor. Tentatively titled the ‘Tuxedo Pack’, Fujiwara has taken to the timeless Chuck Taylor with a series of premium suiting twills to mirror the classic tuxedo.

The four colourways offer a gentle nod to the men’s formal wear staple with the White, Black, Heather Grey, and Pinstriped Black adding subtle satin details, before adding a touch of cobranding to the inner-sole, and heel ‘license plate’. All of the finer details that come with the 1970’s silhouette still remain with the premium materials matched with a cushioned inner-sole, higher mid-sole foxing, and reinforced forefoot stitching. Of course, they haven’t forgotten about Chuck’s basketball history with the final touch of a players name badge ready for your individual insignia.

All four colourways of the Converse x Fragment Designs ‘Tuxedo Pack’ will be releasing this Friday the 17th of February. In store sales will kick off from 11am at our Level 1/15 McKillop Street store with any remaining pairs releasing online later the same day. Sizes US8 through to US12 (whole sizes only) will be available for $120. Until Friday, we’ll leave you with all of the finer details after the jump…
