Another hit from a partnership that doesn't seem to miss
Continuing their ongoing partnership ASICS and Kiko Kostadinov Studio present another curated style with a unique update to a new silhouette.
Since the launch of the GEL-BURZ, the partnership has garnered attention from all facets of the fashion audience and helped to cement ASICS as a must-have footwear option for anyone looking to embrace comfort with fashion-forward look. Working on the new GEL-TERRAIN, US4-S casts-aside the shoe's outdoor origins in favour of open-weave technical mesh and overlays.
The toebox features a unique mesh mudguard with bound edges that are somewhat reminiscent of heritage styles from ASICS like the GEL-LYTE SPEED—updated for a decidedly more Y2K aesthetic. Heat-fused overlays cling to the ridges of the mesh upper like they've been shrink-wrapped whilst the recognisable ASICS stripes are finished in a translucent rubber to reveal the layers below. The sole tooling—lifted from the GT-2000 8—features a crash pad sparkling with glitter embedded within the crystal-like GEL inlays. The thick FlyteFoam midsole offers plenty of cushioning under-foot.
